Hotel Wi-Fi and Bitdefender

At a hotel and can’t access any websites because Bitdefender is showing a warning?

Go to the website: neverssl.com

This should take you to a sign-in page for the Hotel’s Wi-Fi, and then you should be able to access websites again after you sign in.

What’s happening:

  • The hotel network is “impersonating” the site you are trying to visit (like Gmail, or your Bank), and Bitdefender is blocking the webpage because it is not the right website.
  • This is also a way that hackers try to steal your passwords, by sending your computer to a fake website. So Bitdefender is just keeping you safe, in case this was a real “attack”.

Again, go to neverssl.com and sign in to the Wi-Fi.

Hope that helps! 🤞
